What car would win a race?
1984 Firebird 5.0 V8 carb. with an electric fan and a distributor of parts and true dual exhaust. 1998 Firebird 3.8 V6 fuel injected with a cold air intake and exhaust parts. and could be struggling with a 1978 Trans Am 6.6 V8 dual exhaust real change team and 4.11 gears?
This depends on the type of course and many of the drivers, but assuming that all drivers are competent, here are my opinions in a sprint to 78 would win. There is no replacement for displacement. Not to mention a shift kit and a set of gears 4.11. That beat the other cars in the power and equipment is a lot of endurance racing. At a maximum speed of 84 would win. The peak around 140 mph. The 78 is faster than the line, but I think it would a little more delicate 120 mph. The 98 would handle the speed, but it is only going to do with a little V6. Governor 98 also has a computer, I'm pretty sure you are near 100 mph. 78 and 84 did not have that. In a career background of 98 would win. The 78 will be lucky to get 15mpg 12. The 84 might be a little better, but the V6 will be little somewhere around 20mpg 18. Then add a smaller engine and more fuel efficient and a body that is much more aerodynamic. You have a runner. Its slow, but going much further.
