Oil Pressure Gauge

Hydraulic hose for an oil pressure gauge?
I have some hydraulic hose (3000psi R17 SAE1000) and was wondering what kind of heat it will take? I know brake hoses (hydraulic line) can see 300+ degrees. I just wanted to get a second opinion about using this hose for a mechanical oil pressure gauge.
I have read around and seen it can handle 212F+ and 250+ but I never found a correct answer.
The specifications for the suitable temperature range will vary with the specific hose and manufacturer. Different rubber compounds have different reactions to heat. The rubber compounds DETERIORATE more rapidly when exposed to heat.
Generally, pressure gauges are mounted off rigid piping, which would then mitigate the effect of heat.
So you would need to look up the data for compatability, and temperature range from the manufacturer’s literature for the specific hose you are considering.
REMEMBER that you need to consider the temperature of the oil inside the hose, as well as the temperature of the environment in which the hose is used!!!
